Bianca Lawrence Logo Case Study
Come behind the scenes to see how I brought this creative project to life
.
This case study is a little different from normal – Bianca isn’t a real client nor is she even a real person. This logo project was an attempt to refresh one of my old logo designs that are currently available for sale as branding boards.

Bianca Lawrence Photography is a brand concept that I came up with two years ago. She is a photographer specializing in destination weddings and travel editorial photography. When I first designed this logo concept I wasn’t quite sure what exactly her brand stood for – it wasn’t until later down the road that I nailed that down. Some of the copy I have recorded for her reads “Photography at the intersection of adventure and romance. Capturing captivating moments and unique destinations.”
I started out by analyzing the old logo and quickly identified that I needed to create my own camera illustration as well as revisit the font and color choices.
As far as the color palette, I wanted to lean more into a blue-green direction to bring new life to it while still keeping the muted grey tones of the lighter colors. The dark blue used on the script font of the logo brings an extra layer of elegance to it.

I wanted to create something a little more whimsical yet professional, and landed on this vector illustration. I think I want to try adding some mountains in the camera lens so I will update this page once I’ve done those illustrations.

I updated the script font and kept the Aleo light as the name font. The Aleo hints at a sense of stability and adventure but the script font leans into the elegant and high-end nature of this photography. Bianca’s not your rough and rugged type of landscape photographer, she also offers wedding photography and generally brings a sense of romance into everything she does.

The logo mark pulls out more of the travel adventure side of what Bianca does. The concept is subtle, but it was inspired by a round vintage travel stamp.
